Aswathy Jayakumar is a notable career counsellor and registered behaviour therapist who has spent over a decade working closely with students and families to help them make well-informed decisions about their futures. In her current role as Inclusion Coordinator, she partners with both parents and students to offer personalised guidance. This focuses on each individual’s strengths and aims. Aswathy believes that every young person has the potential to thrive if they are given the right direction and support at the right time.
Her path into career counselling has been shaped by a rich and diverse academic journey. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University in Chennai. Additionally, she is licensed as a Special Education Specialist by the UAE’s Ministry of Education and is a Registered Behaviour Analysis Technician & Therapist. This blend of technical knowledge and counselling expertise enables her to connect with students across different fields, particularly those considering STEM and engineering careers.
Edu Elevators began with a simple belief that every student has strengths and talents that often go unnoticed. Sometimes, all it takes is the right conversation, the right question, or the right mentor to bring those qualities to light. For founder Aswathy Jayakumar, this realisation came early. She had seen how confusing and overwhelming it can be for students to make big academic and career decisions without proper guidance. That experience sparked a commitment to help young people find their direction and step into their futures with confidence.

Aswathy’s experience as both an engineer and a Ministry of Education–licensed career consultant gives her the insight to guide students through highly competitive fields like STEM and engineering, while also opening doors to a wide variety of career paths. Her training in behavioural analysis helps to uncover not just what a student is good at, but what truly motivates them. This approach ensures that every career plan is built around the individual, not just the industry trends.
